Hello everybody! It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for another episode of Food King! Alright, today we’re going to be exploring the biggest food court chain in Singapore… Koufu! Do you know that Koufu have more than 40 food courts and over 700 stalls island wide? That’s insane! What’s even more cool about this is that they have just launched a new app and will be exploring this app for all of you. Let’s go!

We are now at Cookhouse by Koufu at Marina Square. This place is crazily packed due to the lunch crowd right now. But fret not! We have a way for you to skip the queue. Yup that’s right. Just download the Koufu app and follow these steps:

Step 1 – Select the location you are current at on the app.

Step 2 – Select the stall you want to eat from.

Step 3 – Select the dish.

Step 4 – Pay, and then you’ll be notified when to collect the food.

And step 5 – Ask your friend to collect while you sit at the table!

First up, we will be trying their Claypot Rice. This stall has been around in this exact location for more than 30 years! And their signature dishes are the Claypot Gongbao Chicken and Claypot Curry Chicken.

What’s so special about their claypot rice is that they used dried chilli in it. This really brings out the fragrant and aroma of the entire dish. The portion is huge too. Enough for 2 person at least.

And then we have the curry… It’s surprisingly good! The curry is not only thick in texture, the spiciness and aroma really hits the spot too. This is definitely a very comforting bowl of curry. We highly recommend it.

Time to quench our thirst after such a satisfying bowl of fiery curry. And what better way to do it than to have it with a R & B Bubble Tea! The one we’re having is this delicious Brown Sugar with Cheese Boba Tea. There’s a generous serving of tasty Gula Melaka in it and we really like it alot.

Our next Koufu destination is right here at Jurong Gateway JEM. If you haven’t been here yet, do check it out. This is looks wonderful!

We will be trying some authentic Thai food by Thai Dynasty. Let’s see how their signature dishes taste like.

We are having the Green Curry Fried Rice and we must say this is pretty good! If you are a fan of green curry, you will love this. The fried rice is not dry and smells really fragrant. There’s even the¬†wokhei taste with every mouthful. Wow.

What’s Thai food without our favorite spicy Tom Yum Soup right? Well, Thai Dynasty’s version is less spicy and more on the sweeter side. We feel this caters more to those who likes tom yum but cannot take the spiciness. This one may just be right for you. And for a food court dish, we are surprised by the generous serving of mushrooms, cabbage, basil leaves, spices and chicken all in one bowl.

Lastly, we are having their signature Basil Pork Rice. And boy is this spicy hot! You’ve been warned.

If you are there, do try their homemade Thai sambal. This is unlike anything we had tried before… Taste like Cincalok alright. Impressively good!

And here’s a Food-King Pro Tip for you: If you use the Koufu Eat app and pay in app with DBS/POSB cards PayLah, you will be getting 10% off everything! Yes 10% off in any Koufu outlet. Just remember to use and you can save more. What a deal, what a steal!

Right now we’re here at Gourmet Paradise, another food court by Koufu. And we will be having this popular Rojak from Soon Heng Rojak. Look at the queue already! And it’s not even peak hour. Let’s see how good is this.

We are pretty impressed with the amount of peanuts and sauce drowning the entire plate. And the quality of ingredients is fresh and good too. The youtiao and taupok are very crispy too. Yummy.
